Customer Notice: In-person services available by appointment only at the Helsinki, Lahti, Tampere and Oulu offices

From 12 October 2026, customers of the Finnish Prosecution Service can visit our offices in person by appointment only at the offices in Helsinki, Lahti, Tampere and Oulu. These offices will also accept documents via a designated drop box or by another method specified at the office. Instructions for booking an appointment and submitting documents are available on the contact information page of the relevant prosecution area.

In-person customer service will no longer be available at our other offices. Customers can instead contact us by email or telephone.

We are limiting in-person services because the number of customers visiting Finnish Prosecution Service offices has been very low. Providing in-person services requires significant staff resources, suitable customer service facilities and security arrangements.

Our telephone service will continue as before on weekdays from 9.00 am to 12 noon.

This change does not apply to Åland.
