Sending a secure e-mail to the National Prosecution Authority
Turvaviesti is a service that allows you to send confidential or sensitive documents. It is shared by the agencies in the Ministry of Justice’s administrative branch. Using the service is easy, safe and free of charge.
Please include the necessary identifying information (such as your name and the subject of your matter) in both the subject line and the body of your message, so that agency staff can forward the message to the appropriate person handling the matter, identify what the email concerns, and know who it is from.
Further instructions on sending secure email can be found on the oikeus.fi website.
Information requests
If you want information regarding a public document held by the authority, you can submit an information request to the National Prosecution Authority. See the instructions on the page General right of access to information.
Please note that if your request contains a large amount of data or is otherwise laborious, a fee will be charged for the information request. If the information request is subject to a fee, we will notify you before the information request is processed.
National Prosecution Authority Finland charges the fee in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Justice on Fees Charged for Performances of the Courts and Certain Judicial Authorities in 2025–2027. (The decree is available on Finlex in Finnish and Swedish.)
